Carefully tucked away in Angie’s jewelry box was a diamond tennis bracelet. It was a beautiful piece—but remained unworn for years. Angie became inspired to transform the bracelet into meaningful heirloom, holiday gifts for her family, and shared her story (and photos) with us.
ABOUT THE JEWELRY

ANGIE’S STORY
“For years, I had a diamond tennis bracelet that I never wore and an idea that the diamonds should be re-used. I did not know for what, or even if, it could be done. Just to see if I should try or give up the idea, I started asking around and Greg was recommended as a really good jeweler. We met and started brainstorming, and in no time we came up with an amazing concept: a family ring. A couple of meetings later we had a design: white gold but with some of the original yellow from the bracelet, softly hammered, matte finish, and each with the person’s initials in Morse code using the diamonds. Six rings in all, and done by Christmas.
I was a little nervous. I had worked myself up that these were going to be important family heirlooms. What if the actual rings not live up to what I had created in my mind? What if the kids didn’t want to wear them? What if I didn’t get them before Christmas?
True to his word, Greg delivered the rings before Christmas. They were perfect, beautiful, more than I envisioned or hoped for. I, my husband, my son and three daughters absolutely love them. My 20 year old son summed it up when he said “Mom, do you know what is so great about this ring? No matter where we are in the world, we will know that there are six of us with the same ring on at the same time.”
Greg loves his craft and is a master at it, but there is more to it than that. This project and the meaning it took on for me was personally important to Greg as well. He was patient with my texts and phone calls, made himself available on my schedule, and he listened intently so that every detail was realized. He is the only person I will ever trust to create milestone or sentimental jewelry for me or my family.”- Angie W.
